| SATURDAY - 26
FEBRUARY 2005 - STUDIO & GALATOS |
|
|
| |
| |

 |
|
The HERO Party is NZ's ultimate
poly-sexual dance extravanganza... Gay, straight, bi, undecided... who cares...
it's an excuse for a party and what a fantastic party it proved to be!
This year’s party was held on Saturday, February 26th and
was spread across two venues – Studio and
Galatos, with a street closure down Galatos Street. This
multi-venue concept gave people a large outdoor space in which to mingle and a
choice of two separate venues in which to play... Just like a mini-Mardi Gras!
Featuring 6 spaces, 15 DJs and 3 shows, this was certainly a night that shouldn't have
been missed! Check out the party pics HERE.

The music style on the main dance floor
of Studio was house - anthemic vocals,
funky and pumping - featuring Alex Taylor (one of Sydney's top
DJs) and the one and only Wayne G (London). Alex is famous for
outstanding performances at Mardi Gras, Sleaze Ball, Queer Nation, Gatecrasher,
Two Tribes, Ministry of Sound, and too many others to mention. Wayne G is
legendary – a former resident at Heaven nightclub in London, with appearances
at huge parties all over the world including Mardi Gras (Sydney), the White
Party (Miami, Palm Springs), World Pride and many more.
There was also be a dance space at Galatos. This space
featured uplifting vocals, euphoric trance and pumping
progressive trance. It also featured NZ’s own legend – Sample Gee!
Sample Gee has head-lined many impressive Australasian dance events, including
Chemistry, Lagered and Salvation in Auckland as well as Red Raw and Magnitude
in Melbourne.
