few words from RUBY about the CD :

"The music chosen to go on this CD is not just a bunch of tracks 'pulled out of the box'. It is a carefully structured, musical and emotional journey, where each track helps build you and prepare you for the next. If you listen to the early tracks they are light and pretty. The later tracks are much harder and have greater production. In each of the first 8 tracks, if you stand back and listen to the underlying melody, they are all going up. Track 9 is the peak (and what a peak!!!). The final 3 tracks then have an underlying melody which is coming down."

"At the end of the CD, we aim to have you sit back and realise that you have been taken somewhere; hopefully the music will have touched you, and you will never be the same again (sounds corny, but it's true)."

Some interesting notes relating to tracks on Volume 4 :

L'bby Haba was released by DJ Sammy only as an album version (around 2.5 mins). I heard it, fell in love with it, and so tracked Sammy down and asked him if he would do an extended version for me to play at Sleaze Ball in Sydney last year. This he did, and it had the world premier at Sleaze last year. It is a remarkable piece of music, and sets the tone for the rest of the CD.

Hazard is a rework of the old Richard Marks 1990's track. It was done by a team called Lost Knowledge which comprises Sydney DJ Nick Jay, and Englishman Michael Trenfield. The vocalist is another Sydney boy named Matt Lorentzen. We were honoured to be able to feature Matt singing it live at our CD launch parties in Sydney and Melbourne. The track was never released in Australasia (It was owned by a US company). Its appearance of our CD was its first release in this region (it has since become very popular).

After All  - this remix was done by the Swedish  boys Jon an Olle (D-Wave) in response to a competition for remixes issued by Delerium. Sadly they discovered that the competition was only available to North American residents, and so their work was set aside and not included in the competition. We happened to hear it, and set about tracking the owners of the track down. To cut a long story short, we were able to get permission. Its inclusion on our CD was the world release of this track, and it is now officially recognised by the record company. We understand that is has now been released as a single in Europe.
